We are seeking an experienced Odoo Accountant based in India who can manage accounts across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local accounting laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have experience in Odoo and Zoho Books, and the ability to handle various financial tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance for different countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-country accounting: Handle accounting for the USA, Portugal, Estonia, UK, India, Australia, and other future countries in compliance with local laws.
- Odoo Accounting: Maintain and manage accounting processes using Odoo ERP.
- Zoho Books Experience: Migrate legacy financial data from Zoho Books to Odoo and handle any necessary adjustments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, P&L accounts, and other relevant reports.
- Multi-currency Transactions: Manage international transactions and ensure compliance with currency regulations in each country.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of taxes for different jurisdictions, including VAT, GST, and other applicable taxes.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage invoicing, payments, and collections across multiple countries and currencies.
- Payroll Management: Coordinate payroll processes for international employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Audits: Assist with or lead internal and external audits in various countries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations across multi-currency bank accounts.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal financial planning.
- Collaboration with Global Teams: Work closely with other departments and country-specific teams to ensure seamless accounting practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with Odoo Accounting: Proficient in using Odoo ERP for financial management.
- Zoho Books Experience: Familiarity with Zoho Books to help with migration and legacy system management.
- Accounting Certifications: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA, CPA, ACCA preferred).
- Global Accounting Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations in countries like the USA, Portugal, Estonia, UK, India, and Australia.
- Multi-currency Management: Experience in managing multi-currency financial transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Taxation Expertise: Proficient in global tax compliance, including VAT, GST, and other regional tax regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Ability to generate and interpret financial statements and reports for different jurisdictions.
- Experience with Audits: Experience managing internal and external audits.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with international teams and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve accounting discrepancies efficiently.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-national environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Accounting Software Integration: Experience migrating data from one accounting software (Zoho Books) to another (Odoo).
- Payroll Systems: Familiarity with international payroll software or processes.
- ERP Systems Experience: Prior experience managing accounting in ERP systems for global businesses.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using various financial tools and systems beyond Odoo and Zoho Books.
